PRIVACY POLICY

In accordance with the law “informatique et libertés” (French Data Protection Act) of January 6, 1978 modified by the bill of August 6, 2004, the regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 applicable since May 25, 2018, and the bill of June 21, 2014 for building confidence in the Digital Economy, the ENS de Lyon commits to comply with the current applicable regulations regarding personal data processing.   

Personal data is collected and processed for the following purpose: 20th congress of the European Society of Photobiology

Personal data will be processed by the Congress and Events Department (Cellule congrès et manifestations), the Information Systems Department (Direction des systèmes d’information) the Financial Affairs Department (Direction des affaires financières) and the Accounting Department (Agence comptable) of the “ENS de Lyon”, as well as the Chemistry Laboratory (Laboratoire de Chimie).

The President of the ENS de Lyon, Mr. Emmanuel TRIZAC, is legally responsible for personal data processing. The legal basis for the processing is the accomplishment of a public interest mission.

In accordance with the current legal and regulatory provisions, the person whose personal data is collected has the right to access, rectify, update and delete information which concerns him or her, right she or he can exercise by contacting: dpo@ens-lyon.fr

Collected personal data information will be saved for a period of 5 (five) years. All the data will be stored in France. The ENS de Lyon commits to taking all necessary precautions to guarantee the security of the data and in particular to ensure that it is not communicated to unauthorized persons.

CANCELLATION POLICY

In the event of cancellation on the behalf of a participant, please note that registrations cannot be reimbursed.

In the event of the cancellation of the conference due to force majeur by the organizing committee or postponement of the conference due to force majeure by the organizing committee, participants have the right to ask for a full refund of their registration fees and this until three months before the beginning of the event, i.e. May 27, 2023. After this date, no amount can be refunded. 

In order to obtain the refund participants will be required to complete the registration fees refund form and provide the necessary bank information. These documents will have to be sended to cellule.congres@ens-lyon.fr.

If the payment of the registration fees was completed by a third party, please note that this third party and only this third party may be reimbursed.

IMAGE RIGHTS

Please note that by registering to the ESP Congress 2023, pictures and/or videos in which you may appear and be recognizable, may be taken or filmed, which you readily accept when completing your registration. 

By registering to the conference you hereby authorize without any financial compensation, and for a period of 10 years starting on the first day of the event, the “ENS de Lyon” and the regulatory bodies of the Chemistry Laboratory associated to the organization of the event, to broadcast these pictures and/or videos on their websites, social media, and on overall all communication media, and by all means, dedicated to the direct or indirect promotion of the event.
